Communities spring from humble beginnings, and just because we're starting off small, slow, and poor, doesn't mean we aren't interested in good stuff!

Our site is evolving constantly, which means we're always on the lookout for interesting art and writing. We'll be honest: We're going to try to talk you into submitting your work gratis in exchange for a link to your site, a contributor bio, and some positive exposure.

In other words, for the sheer glory of it all.

Still, take a look at some of the art and writing featured here, and take note of the extraordinarily talented people who choose to express themselves on this site. Wouldn't you like to do the same?

ARTISTS: Every editor in the world says this, but we too are looking for something different. If you're an artist and would like to share your work with us, contact john@mshadow.com or lance@mshadow.com [take your pick!] and give us an idea of what you're working on and where on the site you think it would best fit. In turn we'll send you our Artist's Guidelines which describe in greater detail what we're after.

Please do not send attached graphic files until asked to do so.

If your art is displayed on a website, please provide us with the URL so we can take a look. We're interested in photos, drawings, or paintings, in grayscale or color. We'd love to work with you!

WRITERS: We're looking for compelling articles, essays, interviews, poetry, and opinion pieces for The Visionary Reading Room.

How to get your book recommended
on the MoonShadow Visions site!

It's a tough, tough world out there, isn't it, you authors? Same for you publishers and book publicists. Everyone's struggling to get some attention. And a positive word of mouth recommendation is invaluable

One of the first things we noticed during the days of ILLUSIONS Magazine was the sheer number of books we received for review.

We found some great ones, but unfortunately had only enough space to recommend a very few books. This always saddened us, because our whole reason for being is to pass along fascinating ideas, and a lot of the books we got were quite compelling. We would have loved to promote them.

But now, with this site, it's easy to devote space to those books we love to recommend. And we're happy to recommend YOUR book, as long as someone on our staff really loves it and can convince the rest of us it's a Visionary Book.

What you need---and what we want to give you---is a lot of free, permanent, and enthusiastic "ink" for your Visionary Book. We've got many loyal customers from the ILLUSIONS days who'd love to read more about your book, and maybe buy it. But it all starts with an enthusiastic push by someone who believes in your book.
